What I learned about taxes

I learned that taxes weren’t easy to pay. Great Britain had to borrow large sums of money to fight the war. The Stamp Act made a lot of colonists mad. Colonists protest the Stamp Act. Everytime someone bought a printed piece of material, he or she had to buy a stamp to prove that they paid their taxes. Parliament thought  this way would be a good idea to pay off their war debts.
